The sweepstakes begins Thursday, 05/01/2008, at 12:01 AM PT and ends on, Saturday, 05/31/2008, at 11:59 PM PT.
Sweepstakes is open only to legal U.S. residents 18 years of age or older. Employees of Smarterville Productions LLC, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies and the immediate families and members of the households of such employees are ineligible. Past winners of any Hooked on Phonics Program Sweepstakes are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.
To enter the Sweepstakes complete the form on the previous page or at http://www.smarterville.com/popups/ss_free_hoss.jhtml and press the "Submit" button. Your entry is valid until the end of the Sweepstakes period.
All entries must be fully and accurately completed. Limit one entry per household. Incomplete, inaccurate, unintelligible, damaged, misdirected, and/or late entries are void. Entrants must be the registered subscriber of the e-mail account by which the entry is made. The "registered subscriber" shall be deemed the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
On or about the day following each Sweepstakes period, Sponsor will randomly select one prize winner from among all eligible entries received.
Each prize winner will receive a Hooked on School Success®(ARV $250). Limit one prize per household. No transfer, substitution, or cash redemption of prizes is permitted, except Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute a prize with cash or with one of comparable or greater value. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Winners will be notified by e-mail within 7 days after the drawing. Winners must reply to Sponsor's e-mail within 7 days from the time the notification e-mail is sent, or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner chosen. Winners may be required to execute a declaration of Eligibility/Release of Liability and, except where prohibited, a Publicity Release within 10 days of notification. Should winner fail to comply with these requirements or any other portion of the Official Rules, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, then the winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected in a similar random drawing from among the remaining eligible entries received.
Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor and its agencies to use winner's name and likeness for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Winner agrees to sign and return any documents requested by Sponsor for such purpose.
By participating, entrants (a) agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor which shall be final; and (b) agree to release and to hold Sponsor and its directors, officers, employees and agents, harmless against any and all claims, liability and damages arising out of their participation and the acceptance and use of any prize. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure of Sponsor to receive entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or any combination thereof. Sponsor and its agents are also not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes. If this promotion becomes technically corrupted or compromised for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to (a) terminate the Sweepstakes; (b) terminate any method of entry; and/or (c) select winner from all eligible entries received prior to the termination.
